Gabino Reyes has a magical imagination. Like San Diego he has seen something that others have not, which now exist in the stories his wood carvings tell. Like so many artisans, he is a farmer and passionate about his land and crops. One wonders if there is a relationship between farmers and wood carving. Is it in the life cycles of the fields and animals they care for that they see a world others do not.
